Electrical Assembly Technician (Packaging Automation)

Location: Washington, Missouri, USA; onsite manufacturing role

What you will do

• Build electrical control panels for automated packaging line equipment.
• Terminate low- and high-voltage wiring to main panels and junction boxes.
• Install field wiring, sensors, industrial cameras, barcode readers, light towers, and safety circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using tools and test instruments.
• Redline electrical prints by documenting drawing and wiring issues for engineering corrections.
• Assist with mechanical assembly and perform additional duties as directed.

Requirements

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, complete Electrical Engineering drawing sets, and bills of materials.
• Understand low- and high-voltage electricity, PLC inputs and outputs, Ethernet, safety circuits, and safe electrical practices.
• Have previous experience with AC motors, motor starters, disconnects, and PLC I/O wiring.
• Use basic hand tools, cordless and pneumatic tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, calculators, and computers.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality; lift parts or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
