Sr Project Manager - Facility Relocation (Energy)

Location: Hybrid in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States

Annual salary: $100,800–$138,600, plus a 15% bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Manage multiple transmission, substation, distribution, gas, information technology, and organizational projects and programs.
• Lead cross-functional teams through business case development, capital approval, planning, execution, and project closeout.
• Control project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety performance for projects typically ranging from $250,000 to $15 million.
• Coordinate requirements, engineering and design activities, procurement, environmental analysis, real estate, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Communicate project status and issues to sponsors, senior management, customers, vendors, governmental bodies, and regulatory agencies.
• Coach team members, secure project resources, manage change, and maintain collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field with 4–7 years of relevant project management experience, or a high school diploma with 6–9 years of relevant experience.
• CAPM certification or commitment to obtain CAPM within two years of joining; PMP certification fulfills this requirement.
• Documented success managing projects, strong independent judgment, interpersonal skills, and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams while handling conflicting priorities in a multitask environment.
• Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.
• Ability to work extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies when required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, an advanced technical degree, or a Master of Business Administration.
• PMP certification or Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in utility design, planning, construction, information technology, or another relevant functional discipline.
