BIM Coordinator (BIM/VDC Leadership – Major Projects)

Location: Project-based on-site assignments in the United States, including Milwaukee, St. Louis, and Dallas/Fort Worth; minimum four days per week on-site. The initial project-startup assignment lasts 2–6 months and requires travel, including periodic weekend travel home.

What you will do

• Lead BIM/VDC execution and act as the internal BIM lead and project manager for major projects, including a large-scale data center initiative.
• Coordinate multi-discipline BIM models, including clash detection, issue tracking, model exchanges, and resolution.
• Manage internal BIM staff and external subconsultants of 20–30 technicians, including assignments, workload, and quality oversight.
• Establish and improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, project models, coordinates, worksets, and BIM Execution Plans.
• Lead coordination meetings and collaborate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and field teams on constructability and execution.
• Support construction teams with model-based coordination, RFIs, as-built documentation, point clouds, record models, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of BIM/VDC experience and experience supporting large-scale construction projects.
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor, and related BIM software.
• Experience working with or directly for contractors and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or mentoring junior staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and willingness to travel for project-based assignments.
