VDC Engineer I (BIM)

What you will do

• Implement VDC standards, processes, and technologies across multiple construction and design projects.
• Create and manage models for 3D trade coordination using Navisworks and execute clash detection reviews.
• Lead MEPFP coordination meetings and use Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Glue, and Procore BIM to streamline coordination workflows.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans, support BIM implementation, and perform constructability and model reviews.
• Create basic Revit models, including ceiling grids and existing systems from laser scans, and produce slab penetration drawings for field use.
• Provide VDC and BIM training to design and construction teams while contributing to process research and development.

Requirements

• Four-year degree, or equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• 0–2 years of AEC industry experience, including internships, co-ops, or field experience.
• Understanding of building systems, construction methods, installation procedures, and sequencing.
• Entry-level proficiency with Autodesk tools, particularly Navisworks and Revit.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, project teams, designers, and people with different communication needs.
• Interest in advancing construction coordination and management through BIM technologies and creative problem-solving.
