TL;DR
Task Order Manager (Aerospace): Managing non-technical contract task order administration for satellite development and integration programs with an accent on customer engagement, financial management, procurement, security, and deliverable coordination. Focus on tracking budgets, milestones, documentation, subcontractor activities, and technical submissions while coordinating AFRL customers and multidisciplinary teams.

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, US — on-site

Provides contract and program support for satellite development, space vehicle, and ground system initiatives serving the Air Force and Space Force.

What you will do

  • Manage non-technical contract task order activities covering budgets, finance, subcontracts, procurement, recruiting, milestones, documentation, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate regularly with AFRL customers, engineering teams, subcontractors, financial professionals, procurement specialists, and security personnel.
  • Track contracting, purchasing, proposals, agreements, technical deliverables, and project reports through completion.
  • Provide administrative support, including meeting coordination, employee engagement, team building, visitor control, and onboarding.
  • Support technical leads with non-technical activities and perform supervisory duties when needed.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • DoD Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting DoD or government programs and at least 2 years in program or project management.
  • Strong customer relationship, stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and complete complex tasks while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Engineering management or technical leadership experience.
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Accounting skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and macros.
  • Exposure to AFRL or Space Force technical initiatives.
