What you will do

• Lead complex projects integrating battery systems and avionics, managing scope, schedule, budget, and technical performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as test personnel.
• Manage technical interfaces between battery systems, power distribution, and avionics subsystems.
• Oversee the design, development, and qualification testing of integrated battery and avionics solutions.
• Lead technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies focused on battery safety and avionics reliability.
• Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with standards such as DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management for technical products.
• Demonstrated knowledge of battery technologies, energy storage systems, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience with avionics systems, including flight computers, sensors, or communications equipment.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project and Jira, and methodologies like Agile/Scrum.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylum status is required.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an MBA.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
• Experience with lithium-ion battery technology, thermal management, and power electronics.
• Background in flight test operations or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
