Senior Technical Project Manager (Aerospace Ground Systems)

Location: Space Coast, Florida, United States; travel expected up to 25% of the time. Relocation is provided.

What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle of ground-system development and production fluid-system capital projects, from capability definition through design, construction, and activation.
• Own project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, technical performance, estimates, resources, and change control across concurrent projects.
• Coordinate mechanical and fluids engineering, construction, DSCE, software, CAD, Facilities, Finance, Supply Chain, Safety, and Quality teams.
• Manage stakeholder requirements for New Glenn, Lunar, Engines, and Test Operations programs and serve as the primary project contact.
• Lead technical checkpoint reviews, including SRR, IDR, FDR, and Pre-Activation Reviews, while tracking performance and recovery plans.
• Mentor junior project team members and contribute to project-management process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience managing complex, cross-organizational engineering capital projects and concurrent project portfolios.
• Experience owning budgets, delegated cost approval authority, capital-project estimates, and integrated project plans.
• Experience with anomaly investigations, root-cause analysis, recovery planning, technical risk assessment, and cross-functional systems delivery.
• Proficiency in project-management methods and tools aligned with PMBOK or equivalent standards; strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience with aerospace ground systems, test facilities, launch sites, construction coordination, subcontract management, or capital-project execution.
• Knowledge of high-pressure or cryogenic fluid systems, HAZOP/PHA, PSM, configuration management, P&IDs, system flow diagrams, and BOM structures.
• Experience supporting or leading SRR, IDR, FDR, and PAR reviews.
