TL;DR
Hydraulic Engineer II/III (Natural Gas and Crude Gathering Systems): Evaluating and optimizing hydraulic performance for gathering systems with an accent on hydraulic modeling, flow assurance, and capacity analysis. Focus on validating field data, developing transient and leak detection models, and supporting pipeline, compressor station, pump station, and treating facility projects.

Location: Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, United States; additional locations include sites in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

What you will do

  • Perform steady-state hydraulic modeling for gas and liquid systems and begin transient analysis.
  • Gather and interpret field data to troubleshoot operational issues and validate model results.
  • Analyze operating conditions and producer forecasts to identify capacity constraints and optimize gathering system performance.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Business Development, Measurement, Construction, producer customers, and Project Engineering on practical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain leak detection models and PI Vision monitoring screens for operational anomalies.
  • Prepare hydraulic evaluations, technical memos, MPMPs, Charters, scopes, presentations, and other project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling for natural gas or crude gathering systems.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline hydraulics, flow assurance, compression, pumping, treating, processing, pigging, hydrates, liquids management, and pressure control.
  • Experience with Synergi Gas, Synergi Liquid, PIPER, Symmetry, SPS, or equivalent software, plus relevant operating and GIS data integrations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively in writing, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
