Engineer II, Hydraulic Modeling & Optimization (Oil and Gas)

hirify.global’s Midstream organization operates pipelines, terminals, storage, gathering, and processing assets for liquid and gas energy transportation.

What you will do

• Develop and tune static and transient hydraulic models for pipeline systems using industry simulation software.
• Evaluate operating parameters, system design, capacity, operating costs, and surge behavior.
• Create modeling scenarios to support business decisions, growth initiatives, and economic analysis.
• Lead or participate in pipeline optimization and operational strategy initiatives.
• Evaluate optimization projects and justify equipment changes, replacements, compressor modifications, and pump or engine improvements.
• Develop tools for Field Operations, Scheduling, and Control Center teams to reduce costs and improve asset optimization.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with modeling and simulation.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10%, including overnight travel.
• Temporary visa holders and candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience in field operations or corporate engineering.
• Knowledge of natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, gas processing, and related facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of rotating equipment and efficiency optimization.
• Programming skills and experience with NextGen, Synergi Gas, ProMax, or similar hydraulic modeling software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
