What you will do
- Operate pipeline equipment, pumps, pump stations, terminals, and related facilities for refined petroleum products.
- Monitor product quality, tank gauging, loading rack operations, batch changes, meters, and operational logs.
- Start and stop pumps, identify equipment abnormalities, and communicate operational or product-quality issues to management.
- Coordinate information between field operations, scheduling, product accounting, engineering, and regional personnel.
- Perform pipeline right-of-way inspections and line-rider duties when assigned.
- Complete facility upkeep, general maintenance, safety checks, and special projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or college education is advantageous.
- Basic office and administrative experience, including paperwork, typing, phone handling, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use tank gauging, truck loading, SCADA, and teletype programs.
- Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
- Ability to pass and maintain all applicable Operator Qualification requirements; a TWIC card may be required depending on the work location.
- Physical ability to work outdoors, climb tanks, lift equipment, perform manual labor, and work in changing climatic conditions.
Nice to have
- Pipeline hydraulics or pipeline operations experience.
- Knowledge of cathodic protection, piping, valves, pressures, and storage tank operations.
- Mechanical, electrical, or electronic maintenance experience.
