Strategic & Acquisition Ops Research Planner

Location: Washington, District of Columbia; on-site. U.S. citizenship is required, and a top-secret security clearance is required.

Salary: $155,000–$170,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the United States Space Force Innovation and Prototyping Acquisition Delta Commander.
• Create organizational concepts and assess technical, financial, morale, and enterprise integration impacts.
• Develop Space Force- and mission-level acquisition strategies, plans, and concepts.
• Create organizational visions, messaging, and cross-cutting concepts to improve portfolio management.
• Develop and communicate innovative Courses of Action supported by expert analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum 20 years of government acquisition experience, including at least 5 years supporting space programs.
• Master’s degree in management, business, economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, science, technology, engineering, or statistics; a bachelor’s degree is required.
• Extensive program management, strategic communication and planning, and senior-level government space acquisition experience.
• Strong knowledge of Department of Defense protocol, acquisition, operational, and project management processes and policies.
• Superior verbal, written, and quantitative analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
• U.S. citizenship and top-secret security clearance are required.

• Successful completion of DAU’s PMT 401.
