Regional Service Manager - North (Welding Equipment)

Location: Chicago, IL (RDA), United States; welding equipment rental operations

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Maintain safe, efficient, and effective service and maintenance operations for regional fleet resources.
• Establish and deliver training on preventive maintenance, repairs, shipping and receiving, and shop safety procedures.
• Work with branch managers to develop and implement service best practices across the company.
• Provide advanced technical support to branches and customers and coordinate specialized support from equipment manufacturers.
• Audit branch service and repair operations, monitor exception reports, and resolve maintenance issues.
• Manage parts inventory, service records in the ERP system, equipment scrapping and disposal decisions, and support new product development and branch startups or relocations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ideally, five or more years of related work experience.
• Basic computer skills or knowledge of SAP.
• Training certificates from OEM equipment providers, or active progress toward obtaining them, including Miller, Lincoln, Hypertherm, and MQ.
• Welding industry experience may substitute for post-secondary education.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or post-secondary education equivalent to one year of business management.
