Regional Safety Manager - Northeast

Location: United States — Remote; travel up to 75% across the Northeast region is required.

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable health and environmental requirements.
• Conduct project-site safety audits and verify that occupational health and safe work practices are maintained.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action implementation.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Develop safety improvement plans, conduct monthly project-staff meetings, and promote a positive safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible EHS experience in construction, renewable energy, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or energy operations.
• Experience with utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction, BESS, and/or solar O&M activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc-flash hazard mitigation, and energized-work practices.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification and First Aid & CPR certification are required.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of residence is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying OSHA Construction and General Industry standards.
• Advanced OSHA certifications such as OSHA 510 or OSHA 511.
• CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, OHST, or other recognized professional safety certifications.
