Gas Design Manager (Natural Gas)

What you will do

• Direct gas and electric distribution design activities, including planning and budgeting for capital projects.
• Lead dispersed, multifunctional design groups and ensure adherence to corporate design and quality standards.
• Balance safety, timeliness, cost containment, reliability, customer satisfaction, asset utilization, and regulatory compliance.
• Set unit business plans, goals, and objectives aligned with corporate and business-unit strategies.
• Build partnerships with construction, operations, and other departments to maintain accurate and current information.
• Support after-hours on-call duties and storm restoration by troubleshooting outages, mobilizing design resources, and assisting crews in the field.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of electric and/or gas distribution design experience in design, engineering, construction, or operations.
• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of electric and/or gas distribution experience.
• Experience leading technical groups and maintaining design and quality standards.
• Ability to provide technical support, mentoring, and training to designers.
