NPD Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States; onsite full-time. The position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR; non-US persons may not be eligible.

Base salary: $102,640–$141,130 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective test methods for product development and manufacturing.
• Develop test fixtures, equipment, diagnostic programs, specifications, and procedures for new products.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of systems and equipment across product development and manufacturing phases.
• Coordinate labor, schedules, and equipment for standard and special device testing.
• Verify compliance with design, manufacturing, customer, laboratory, manufacturing, and clinical practice requirements.
• Set test parameters and evaluate customer samples while collaborating with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• University degree, such as a bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience handling multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, organizational, planning, time-management, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, instrumentation, and engineering test software.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.
• Working knowledge of DO-160 and aerospace qualification methodologies.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or automated test system development.
