Focus on developing environmental and vehicle models, integrating flight software, analyzing nominal and Monte Carlo trajectories, and resolving technical issues with launch service providers.

Location: Brook Park, Ohio or Greenwood Village, Colorado; full-time onsite work is preferred, with hybrid and remote exceptions available.

Projected compensation range: $125,167.73–$300,776.18 per year.

What you will do

  • Perform launch vehicle flight mechanics analyses from liftoff through payload separation.
  • Develop environmental and vehicle models and integrate them with flight software.
  • Run nominal and Monte Carlo dispersed trajectory simulations.
  • Process simulation data and perform GNC, trajectory, and performance analyses against mission requirements.
  • Interface with launch service provider personnel, participate in technical reviews, and resolve mission integration issues.
  • Document and present IV&V activities and analyses while providing technical support to management.

Requirements

  • 10–12 years of applicable experience with a bachelor's degree, 8–10 years with a master's degree, or 5–7 years with a Ph.D.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, vehicle dynamics, and GNC.
  • Experience with model development, computer programming, and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, Fortran, Ada, and MATLAB.

Nice to have

  • Experience with launch vehicle analyses.
