TL;DR
Test Engineer III (Aerospace/ATE): Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test equipment and data acquisition systems for aerospace and electronic products with an accent on hardware design, LabVIEW/TestStand programming, and regulated product verification. Focus on integrating medium- to high-complexity test systems, troubleshooting root causes, developing test procedures, and leading multifunctional capital projects up to $500,000.

Location: On-site in Lynnwood, Washington, United States. The role may require domestic and international travel of up to 10%. Access to controlled data may require US Person eligibility under ITAR.

Salary: $119,900–$138,300 annual USD

What you will do

  • Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated test equipment for aerospace and electronic products.
  • Design test hardware and software, select equipment, and integrate or build medium- to high-complexity automated test systems.
  • Develop, code, debug, verify, and document data acquisition and test analysis software using LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar platforms.
  • Generate test procedures, calculate equipment specifications and test limits, and validate test setups and results.
  • Prepare design packages, schematics, wiring documentation, component lists, configuration records, and archived test data.
  • Lead multifunctional test engineering projects and support product development, sustaining engineering, R&D, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience and a BA or BS degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design, microprocessor or microcontroller design, and automated test system development.
  • Experience developing and verifying software, product and equipment requirements, test procedures, and configuration management in regulated environments.
  • Proficiency with LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar system-design platforms, plus SPICE, CAD, schematic design, and PWB layout.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, failure analysis, engineering schematics, and communication interfaces such as ARINC429, CAN, RS232, and I2C.
  • Verbal and written English proficiency is required; US Person eligibility may be required for controlled-data access under ITAR.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated or manufacturing environments.
  • Master’s degree or PhD.
  • National Instruments LabVIEW certification or experience with the ALOHA Application Framework.
