What you will do

• Manage outpatient nursing unit operations and maintain 24-hour accountability for patient care delivery.
• Lead, select, develop, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Promote quality, safety, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate care delivery with Nurse Managers, House Supervisors, Shift Leaders, and cross-functional partners.
• Monitor patient-care throughput and staff competency against organizational and professional standards.
• Create, monitor, and analyze unit budgets based on projected revenue and expenses.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field; if the bachelor’s degree is not in nursing, the master’s degree must be in nursing.
• At least 3 years of nursing or clinical experience, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• Current nursing license in the candidate’s primary state of residence; Tennessee licensure is required for Tennessee residents or residents of non-compact states, with applicable compact-state licensing rules for Arkansas and Mississippi.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Knowledge of nursing equipment, age-specific care, growth and development, patient assessment, and clinical standards.
• Experience managing teams and leading projects or processes end-to-end, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Pediatric oncology experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Specialty clinical-area coursework or demonstrated specialty knowledge.
