Supervisor, Clinical Research (Oncology)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia, United States; traditional office environment with in-person clinical and physical duties.

Pay scale: $67,458.15–$103,781.77 annually.

What you will do

• Supervise clinical research staff and coordinate research activities with affected practice departments.
• Coach and develop staff while participating in recruitment, interviews, performance assessments, compensation recommendations, and progressive discipline.
• Develop research accountability standards, metrics, and reports, and implement action plans to improve operations and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with research leaders, physicians, and management on study selection, research budgets, financial objectives, and accrual targets.
• Coordinate research activities with external bases or sponsors and promote the research program to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a clinical or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience of eight years.
• At least five years of clinical nursing experience or experience in a related scientific discipline; oncology experience is preferred.
• Supervisory and clinical research experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure where required by the state of practice, plus current BCLS or ACLS certification for nurses.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical medicine, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, hematology, oncology, and clinical trials.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, multitasking, computer, Windows, and Excel skills.

Nice to have

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• SoCRA or ARCP certification.
• Knowledge of GCP and ICH guidelines.
