Manager, Revenue Recognition (Insurtech)

Location: Dallas, TX; required to work in the office five days a week.

What you will do

• Oversee LTV calculations, related contract assets, and integration of LTV insights into forecasting and management reporting.
• Lead monthly close activities, including journal entries, MD&A, and accurate reporting of revenue data.
• Analyze data to identify anomalies, trends, variances, and sensitivity impacts.
• Account for and report production costs required for net revenue presentation.
• Maintain revenue policies, process narratives, memorandums, financial statement disclosures, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with external auditors and cross-functional partners while leading, coaching, and developing the Revenue team.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of related accounting experience; public company accounting experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an active CPA or CA designation.
• Strong understanding of revenue accounting, ASC 606, internal controls, risk assessment, and remediation.
• Experience researching complex accounting matters and leading process improvements.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
