Manager, Accounting

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; at least 60% in person

What you will do

• Oversee detailed financial and administrative activities for multiple projects of varying complexity.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and accounting systems.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including accruals, revenue recognition, and ASC 606 disclosures.
• Analyze monthly financial results and maintain accurate, timely reporting.
• Manage internal and external audit activities, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• Review accounts receivable, monitor and forecast cash, interpret contracts for billing and revenue recognition, and coordinate intercompany matters with accounting teams worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 9+ years of progressive experience.
• CPA certification or CPA-ready status.
• Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory, support-services, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in person at least 60% of the time in Houston, Texas.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams and functions.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle EPM, or Workiva.
