Project Manager – New Product Development (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional teams through the New Product Development lifecycle from concept through product launch.
• Manage stage-gate requirements, customer alignment, risk mitigation, execution plans, and commercialization activities.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders, gather requirements, provide progress updates, and maintain alignment.
• Build datasets to track backlog, schedule, budget, project performance, profit margin, and cash flow objectives.
• Support migration from legacy tools to modern cloud-based Agile platforms and use data to improve decision-making.
• Coach and motivate teams through Agile ceremonies, Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and servant leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in a technical role.
• 3+ years leading New Product Development, engineering development, or technology commercialization projects in a technical environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Jira, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Loop, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to apply PMI practices, the Scaled Agile Framework, Lean methodologies, and Crane Business Systems.

Nice to have

• PMP, CSM, SAFe, or related certification.
• Master’s degree in business, engineering, physics, or chemistry.
• Experience in nuclear, aerospace, medical, or another regulated capital-intensive industry.
• Knowledge of SAP and scripting or search languages such as Python, VBA, ABAP, or JQL.
