Operations Engineering Intern (Industrial Engineering)

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, United States; onsite summer internship

Salary: $23.25–$33.75 per hour

What you will do

• Work with rotational engineers on projects assigned by upper management for hirify.global warehouses.
• Analyze and correct warehouse bottlenecks.
• Create and implement operational standards.
• Slot multiple warehouses to improve travel time per line.
• Improve cubic utilization within warehouses.
• Provide onsite support during robotics technology go-lives.

Requirements

• Background in engineering, industrial engineering, or systems engineering preferred.
• Junior standing in an undergraduate program and a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated, proactive self-starter.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles.
