Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: New York Mills, Minnesota; onsite. Full-time internship from May to August 2027. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Relocation is available.

Salary: $18.00–$27.00 per hour.

hirify.global is a global marine products company producing Lund and Crestliner fishing boats and developing technologies for marine recreation.

What you will do

• Design manufacturing tooling, workstation benches, layouts, and assembly aids using 3D CAD.
• Support production activities and launch new manufacturing processes and products across fabrication, riveting, welding, paint, upholstery, and final assembly.
• Create, organize, and update manufacturing documentation using as-built information.
• Conduct time studies, support labor balancing, and contribute to process improvements.
• Investigate and implement engineering change notices with Product Development and Engineering.
• Contribute to problem solving, cost reduction, quality, continuous improvement, material flow, automation, and tooling projects.

Requirements

• Engineering student with at least 80 credits toward a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience using SolidWorks, DraftSight, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Immediate authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Availability for a full 40-hour work week from May through August 2027.

Nice to have

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering principles.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week periodically when required.
