Advanced Manufacturing Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global campus in Pella, Iowa, USA

What you will do

• Complete an interview and assessment to identify the best fit across machine shop, welding, weld robotics, paint, assembly engineering, and systems/data teams.
• Study manufacturing work from operators’ perspectives and identify improvements to existing processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering technicians, and operations teams to implement equipment in manufacturing.
• Determine which manufacturing data should be displayed to improve production.
• Support research and development for future equipment, processes, and data solutions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Interest in understanding the technical details of manufacturing processes, including safety, process capability, manufacturing data, capacity planning, and manufacturing flow.
• Day-to-day work must be performed onsite at a hirify.global campus.
• Occasional travel is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing manufacturing equipment or making steel parts in manufacturing.
• Experience with continuous improvement, capital justification, capital project management, technology transfer, or supporting existing manufacturing cells.
• Previous internship experience.
