Sr Test Engineer - Test Integrator (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States. Work may take place in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment, with occasional travel.

What you will do

• Lead complex and high-stakes test engineering projects for mission equipment and integrated aviation systems.
• Plan, assign, and track test activities, resources, schedules, instrumentation, and interdepartmental support.
• Coordinate test preparation, including instrumentation installation, pre-test briefings, approval workflows, and review boards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during test execution and align engineering, maintenance, conformity, and external stakeholders.
• Track aircraft configurations, maintenance actions, conformity updates, post-flight data reviews, and execution status.
• Manage test reports and lessons learned, from development and review through final release and hot-wash updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 10+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
• Expert knowledge of test and evaluation principles, engineering practices, requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design and development teams and conducting, documenting, and planning Verification and Validation activities.
• Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and apply logical troubleshooting techniques.
• Current and active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in a testing environment and experience authoring complex test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Experience with testing equipment, manual and automated testing, product quality assurance, and non-conformance disposition.
• Aerospace and defense industry experience, including certification testing for FAA, NASA, or DoD organizations.
• Experience with MIL-STD-810, DO-160, safety risk management, risk mitigation, and related industry standards.
