Project Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Salary: $119,064–$163,713 per year.

What you will do

• Lead medium-sized cross-functional engineering teams and technical projects.
• Oversee the design, development, integration, and implementation of engineering solutions within technical, quality, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Conduct trade studies and technical evaluations, and provide technical estimation support for proposals, contracts, and cost bases.
• Manage suppliers through Statements of Work, issue resolution, and return-to-green schedule plans.
• Support risk management, cost and schedule management, KPI reporting, and Technical Performance Metrics.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, program offices, customers, and stakeholders while communicating technical plans and project status to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree, or a master's degree with three years of experience.
• Typically five or more years of related experience and an advanced technical foundation in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects while managing budget and schedule constraints.
• Knowledge of risk and opportunity management and at least two non-engineering functional disciplines, such as supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or program management.
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and technical guidance skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with systems engineering and integration, project management tools, CAD, PLM, Agile, or Lean methodologies.
• Experience developing project budgets and managing multiple projects.
• Experience driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
