Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States. Onsite leadership of plant utilities supporting 24/7 operations, with up to 10% domestic and international travel.

What you will do
- Lead the Utilities Engineering team within Facilities & Engineering and serve as the primary contact for the function.
- Support site design, construction, start-up, operational readiness, and transfer of utility systems to the operations team.
- Own GMP and non-GMP utility systems, including purified water, water for injection, clean steam, process gases, electrical systems, boilers, chilled water, HVAC, and compressed air.
- Develop maintenance, validation, training, CMMS, supplier-management, and system-performance programs.
- Lead complex utilities initiatives and capital project execution while improving safety, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Manage budgets, performance indicators, audits, staff development, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and Engineering.
Requirements
- Engineering experience based on education: 2 years with a doctorate, 6 years with a master's degree, 8 years with a bachelor's degree, 10 years with an associate's degree, or 12 years with a high school diploma/GED.
- At least 2 years of direct people-management or team, project, program, or resource-allocation leadership experience.
- Knowledge of utilities engineering in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments is preferred, including at least 6 years of utility engineering experience.
- Experience with regulated-environment compliance, GMP utilities, maintenance systems, quality systems, and facilities-related improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, technical writing, facilitation, prioritization, and staff-development skills.
- Schedule flexibility is required to support 24/7 operations, including occasional after-hours engineering coverage.
