Senior EHS Consultant

Location: Cleveland, Ohio, United States; travel to client sites and project locations as needed, typically less than 25%.

Salary: USD 90,000–145,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Develop new clients and projects, primarily for environmental compliance services, while meeting sales and bookings targets.
• Manage and support EHS management systems, compliance assessments, audits, and performance improvement programs.
• Lead environmental compliance activities involving air permitting, SPCC, NPDES and stormwater permitting, SWPPP, EPCRA reporting, wastewater, and hazardous waste.
• Manage project budgets, scopes, schedules, deliverable quality, and billable utilization.
• Build and maintain client relationships and collaborate with account managers and delivery teams.
• Prepare high-quality client deliverables and support written health and safety programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15–20 years of EHS experience, including leadership of complex projects in diverse manufacturing environments.
• Experience with business development, client accounts, EHS audits, compliance programs, due diligence assessments, and management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and strong written, verbal, technical, and client-facing communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to and travel to project sites.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle records check.

• Previous consulting and client management experience.
• Experience developing services and growing client accounts.
• Experience developing health and safety programs such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, PPE, electrical safety, hot work, and machine guarding.
