Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; work supports projects in New England and New York and includes periodic regional travel. The role is managed from the Lowell, Massachusetts office, with flexible work arrangement potential.
Salary: USD $120,000–$141,252.80 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do
- Scope, cost, plan, and execute soil and groundwater remediation projects with Senior Project Managers.
- Plan field activities, develop work plans, coordinate subcontractors and clients, and manage field execution.
- Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites and develop conceptual site models.
- Evaluate, design, and implement remediation systems, including rationales, cost estimates, procurement support, and permit applications.
- Prepare and review technical reports, designs, and other project deliverables while maintaining QA/QC.
- Delegate work, mentor junior staff, and support project delivery within budget and schedule.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- Mid-level experience with 8–10 years in groundwater and soil remediation within a consulting engineering firm.
- EIT certification required; Massachusetts or New York PE license is a plus.
- Field experience with construction and subcontractor oversight, drilling, soil classification, multimedia sampling, well installation, and remediation systems.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts environmental site remediation regulations and technical guidance; valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with annual renewal, proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
Nice to have
- M.S., M.Eng., or PhD in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- LSP, LEP, or LSRP certification.
- Project management experience and knowledge of New York State and federal environmental regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or 3-D visualization software.
