Systems Engineer IV-Principal

What you will do

• Support the integration of AEGIS Weapon System elements into certified AEGIS and ballistic missile defense baselines.
• Perform combat system certification assessments under PEO IWS policy, evaluating mission effectiveness, capabilities, limitations, and deployment risks.
• Translate certification-critical defects into operational risks, impacts, and guidance.
• Gather, assess, and maintain Objective Quality Evidence artifacts for certification.
• Prepare engineering assessment reports, status reports, certification documentation, and briefing materials.
• Brief and collaborate with senior Department of Defense and Department of the Navy personnel, while recommending improvements to certification processes and tools.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of general Surface Navy combat systems engineering experience.
• Experience with combat system, warfare system, or element certification processes.
• Current DoD Secret clearance required.
• A detail-oriented and highly organized approach with effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• BS degree in a STEM field, or 15 years of U.S. Navy surface warfare experience in lieu of the degree.
