TL;DR
RF/Missile/Combat Systems Engineer (Defense): Providing systems engineering support for US Navy weapons engineering and program acquisition, including requirements analysis, combat system integration, modeling and simulation, and design, development, production, and in-service activities with an accent on RF, missile, combat systems, and electromagnetic environment effects. Focus on integrating ship-based combat systems and sensors, reviewing testing and simulation data, supporting DevSecOps and Agile efforts, and developing technical documentation and customer briefings.
Location: Arlington, VA, United States; 100% onsite and in-office. Hybrid and remote work are not available.

What you will do
- Provide systems engineering support across the design, development, production, and in-service lifecycle of US Navy weapons systems.
- Perform requirements analysis, combat system integration analysis, modeling and simulation, and requirements development and maintenance.
- Review safety and Electromagnetic Environment Effects plans, schedules, tests, test results, and technical data packages.
- Provide technical input on ship-class integration methodologies, combat system capabilities, sensors, firing policies, interface changes, and operator workloads.
- Support DevSecOps and Agile development activities, integration studies, and program and technical review meetings.
- Prepare technical documentation, senior-level briefings, simulation reviews, and customer reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience as a DoD systems engineer in non-IT systems, or at least 7 years for the high-mid level, with experience in requirements analysis, weapon systems integration analysis, or weapon systems design.
- Eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance is required.
- Ability to work onsite in Arlington, Virginia.
- Ability to collaborate with technical, acquisition, administrative, and subcontractor personnel and deliver clear customer presentations.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Direct Navy terminal defense systems experience, including RAM or CIWS.
- Active DoD Secret clearance, prior SIPR account, and experience using SIPR systems.
