Senior-Level Weapon Systems Engineer (Navy)

Location: Arlington, VA; 100% on-site and in-office, with no hybrid or remote work.

What you will do

• Support US Navy weapons engineering and program acquisition activities.
• Monitor threat information and potential ship self-defense tactics.
• Support technology roadmaps, budget strategies, upgrade evolutions, and program infrastructure planning.
• Review specifications, program plans, test plans, contractor documentation, work plans, failure diagnoses, and proposals.
• Develop requirements-management guidelines, objectives, processes, and procedures for stronger program control.
• Prepare documentation, schedules, plans, and technical inputs for system upgrades and emerging-threat response.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in weapon systems engineering, threat engineering, weapon performance analysis, and/or weapon capability planning and requirements development.
• Eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Ability to collaborate with technical, acquisition, administrative, and subcontractor personnel.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and customer-presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Direct systems engineering experience with Navy terminal defense systems such as RAM and CIWS.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and prior SIPR account or SIPR systems experience.
