HSE Officer (Manufacturing)

Location: Lebanon, Indiana, United States; onsite manufacturing floor presence required

What you will do

• Maintain a visible HSE presence on the manufacturing floor, engage employees, reinforce safe work practices, and address at-risk behaviors.
• Coach supervisors, line leaders, maintenance teams, and employees on HSE practices, accountability, and compliance.
• Implement and improve HSE programs, systems, and initiatives focused on risk reduction and injury prevention.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections, and field verifications; support corrective actions and OSHA, EPA, and internal reporting.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations, OSHA recordkeeping, injury claim administration, and emergency First Aid/CPR/AED response.
• Assist with environmental inspections, permitting, hazard identification, chemical safety, industrial hygiene, data collection, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required.
• Three to seven years of HSE/EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, training, relationship-building, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience with Workday, SharePoint, Enablon, or other HSE management systems.
