Machine Operator I (1st Shift)

Location: Warrendale, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite, 1st shift

What you will do

• Operate and monitor CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment to maintain throughput and machine uptime.
• Measure and gauge parts using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Perform in-process quality checks, complete documentation, and follow standardized work instructions and part specifications.
• Prepare and load raw materials, communicate machine or part issues, and coordinate with personnel across shifts.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly clean and maintain equipment according to 5S standards.
• Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, WPO, safety, environmental, energy, and quality management activities.

Requirements

• English: ability to speak, read, write, and understand English independently in a regulated work environment.
• GED or high school diploma.
• Understanding of manufacturing and machining principles, plant systems, and part and process drawings.
• Ability to use or learn measuring and inspection tools, programs, and systems.
• Ability to meet product quality and equipment operating-efficiency standards.
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, teamwork, and strong work ethic.
