Machine Operator - 2nd Shift (CNC)

Location: Rushville, Indiana, USA; onsite, 2nd shift — Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.; schedule and hours may vary. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Safely operate manual, NC, and CNC machinery in the assigned work cell.
• Monitor machine operation, identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and verify finished parts against specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain hourly and daily production activity records.
• Work across machines and cells while following work instructions and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, programmers, and other colleagues to resolve machining problems.
• Support process improvements, documentation, and training for other team members.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience using inspection gauges, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, Go/No-Go gauges, pin gauges, height gauges, depth gauges, thread gauges, bore gauges, and V-blocks.
• Ability to read blueprints, including title blocks, views, dimensions, tolerances, surface callouts, symbols, and lines.
• Ability to apply shop math, including decimal and fraction conversions, metric/standard conversions, angles, offsets, and arithmetic operations.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to learn and accept challenges.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and frequently bend, stoop, squat, and push or pull parts or containers.
