Summer 2027 - Electrical Engineering Co-op (June 2027) (Autonomous Aircraft)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas; San Diego, California; Boston, Massachusetts; or Seattle, Washington

Salary: $38–$73 per hour, determined by academic level.

What you will do

• Own an electrical engineering project tailored to the co-op start date, duration, and location.
• Contribute to autonomous aircraft development and critical-path engineering objectives.
• Design circuit boards with analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuits for prototype flight-computer testing.
• Design, simulate, and verify high-voltage power electronics, including DC/DC converters and DC/AC inverters above 10 kW.
• Bring up and validate avionics systems, identify bugs, and drive corrective changes.
• Build automated test racks and run HALT campaigns for flight-critical subsystem reliability.

Requirements

• On-site availability in Dallas, San Diego, Boston, or Seattle.
• Completion of at least the second year of a relevant degree, typically Electrical Engineering.
• Strong technical fundamentals and participation in an engineering team or club.
• Experience with electrical design software and tools such as Altium, KiCad, and oscilloscopes.
• Demonstrated ownership of project outcomes and delivery of strong results.
• Reliable teamwork, high standards, and a collaborative and respectful working style.
