Maintenance Technician

Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands; onsite facility role

hirify.global is a food manufacturing company with an R&D facility in Nijmegen.

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, parts replacement, repairs, and installations for facility equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot building equipment and infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other technical systems.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential issues, and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with R&D staff, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to provide technical support and complete repairs.
• Maintain work orders and accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Issue work permits and prepare meeting rooms when necessary.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience as a handyman or facility maintenance technician.
• Technical training or certification in a relevant trade, such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing, is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
• English is commonly spoken at hirify.global.
