Location: Long Island, New York; project locations across New York, with work also mentioned in Aberdeen, North Carolina

Salary: USD $25.47–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect bridge and highway construction projects and verify compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Support Construction Engineering and Inspection activities for transportation projects.
• Perform or oversee concrete and aggregate testing procedures.
• Maintain construction documentation using NYSDOT MURK Documentation and Site Manager.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
• Provide availability for night shifts, overtime, and potential weekend work.

Requirements

• At least 18 months of transportation construction inspection experience.
• Bridge and highway construction experience with NYSDOT.
• NICET Level II or equivalent.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level I or NCDOT Aggregate Level I certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Nice to have

• Experience working on NCDOT highway or bridge projects.
• Familiarity with the NCDOT Construction Manual, Standard Specifications, and testing procedures.
