Director, Billing (Hospitality)

Location: North Bethesda, Maryland, United States. The role is hybrid, with four days onsite and one day remote each week. The selected candidate must commit to the Pike & Rose headquarters; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

Salary: $142,000–$167,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus under the Management Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end global billing operations across brands, products, regions, royalties, marketing and reservation fees, loyalty assessments, commissions, and procurement.
• Set billing policies, governance, procedures, controls, and performance KPIs while ensuring accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, reconciliations, accruals, and audit readiness.
• Lead billing transformation initiatives, including system implementations, automation, workflow optimization, standardization, and system-driven controls.
• Analyze billing trends, disputes, revenue leakage, and operational risks to implement corrective and long-term solutions.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Technology, Legal, Franchise Operations, Loyalty, Marketing, Brand teams, auditors, franchisees, and customers.
• Lead, coach, and develop a billing team of four direct reports, including workforce and succession planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in billing operations, revenue operations, accounts receivable, or financial operations.
• Leadership experience managing teams, people leaders, or complex functions.
• Experience with large-scale system implementations, finance transformation initiatives, or operating model changes.
• Knowledge of franchise billing structures, contractual fee models, revenue recognition, internal controls, process documentation, and gap analysis.
• Experience with ERP/EPM systems and customer billing platforms; Oracle Fusion is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in hospitality, franchising, or contract-based revenue models.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and financial modeling.
