Senior Real Estate Accountant

Location: Onsite at the corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland, United States. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $86,886–$102,219 annually.

What you will do

• Review and analyze monthly financial reporting packages for owned operating hotels and consolidate results into corporate financial statements.
• Prepare quarterly joint venture waterfall calculations and monthly and quarterly joint venture financial statements.
• Review real estate development draw packages, capital calls, and development costs for hotels under development.
• Prepare journal entries for hotel operations, development activities, consolidation, and equity earnings.
• Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, month-end and quarter-end close activities, and SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K reporting.
• Coordinate with internal accounting, finance, tax, treasury, real estate, asset management, and third-party hotel management teams.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of total accounting experience, including 2 or more years with a public company and public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls.
• Ability to work onsite in North Bethesda, Maryland, United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience in real estate construction and property accounting.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP/EPM or other general ledger and ERP financial systems.
• Familiarity with USALI.
• CPA certification with an active license.
