Associate Director, Client Finance

Location: New York, New York; hybrid work

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Oversee the client order-to-cash cycle, including billing, reconciliation, receivables, payables, purchase orders, and client budget reporting.
• Review finance work products, KPIs, burn reports, and client deliverables while ensuring contractual billing terms are met.
• Manage and mentor Managers and Senior Managers, support career development, and act as the primary escalation point.
• Prepare for and participate in client finance and internal Managing Partner status calls.
• Identify process improvements, promote best practices, and support company-wide standardization and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of client finance experience, preferably in the media industry.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.
• Experience with media billing and operations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• BS/BA degree in Finance or a related field.

• Knowledge of SBMS/Spectra OX.
