Production Supervisor - 1st Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Solon, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing facility role.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day production activities across assigned value streams to meet commitments while implementing improvements.
• Drive waste reduction and continuous improvement through Lean methodology, value stream mapping, and improvement plans.
• Involve employees in problem solving and decision making, coach staff, and recognize exceptional performance.
• Manage production employees, including requisitioning, training, direction, performance appraisal, time and attendance, and progressive discipline.
• Track daily performance using process center communication boards and support new process and product implementation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and support workplace safety programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a four-year degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred, including manufacturing leadership experience, and at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Suite.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement concepts and methods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, planning, organization, delegation, and coaching skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing business circumstances and work effectively with employees, management, and business partners.
