Supervisor, Production (1st Shift)

Location: Norwich, Connecticut, USA; onsite, 1st shift

What you will do

• Oversee production activities and ensure plant and in-process production metrics are met.
• Lead daily shift meetings focused on safety, security, performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Assign work, coordinate shift activities, train production associates, and supervise employee performance.
• Open and close production orders in SAP, propose schedule adjustments, and coordinate priority jobs with Production Planning.
• Investigate and resolve safety, security, equipment, and quality issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead process and continuous improvement projects targeting productivity, safety, quality, scrap rate, production rates, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Knowledge of injection molding, automated assembly equipment, and manual product assembly.
• Some mechanical capability and basic computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, solve problems proactively, communicate clearly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as required for the position and workplace safety.

Nice to have

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing or an ISO-certified company.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• College degree.
