Radar Systems/Software Engineer (Radar Modeling and Simulation)

Location: Trumbull, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $105,000–$170,000 per year, depending on experience and location, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and possible equity or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Integrate and test modeling and simulation framework components, including radar modes, target tracking, platform, and antenna models.
• Develop near-real-time code that enables models to produce results rapidly.
• Interpret modeling and simulation results and recommend software or algorithm improvements.
• Recommend laboratory and flight tests to assess radar performance.
• Review collected test results and brief technical accomplishments to technical and managerial audiences.
• Collaborate with senior engineers across radar development and sustainment programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of related radar work experience and 5+ years of modeling and simulation development and execution.
• Knowledge of software development environments including Windows and Linux.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C, C++, CUDA, VHDL, and related programming methods.
• Understanding of model-based engineering, radar system design, real-time radar signal processing, and radar hardware and software issues.
• U.S. citizenship is required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance is required, with Top Secret preferred.
