Network Administrator II

Location: Hybrid, with on-site responsibility for the Twin Cities office in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Salary: $105,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Configure, administer, and optimize Fortinet FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer environments.
• Deploy and support Ubiquiti/UniFi wireless infrastructure, including site surveys, RF planning, interference analysis, and performance optimization.
• Administer LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, ACLs, WAN circuits, and multi-site connectivity.
• Manage Azure and/or AWS networking, hybrid connectivity, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for the Minneapolis office, including user onboarding, workstation provisioning, device management, and meeting-room equipment.
• Own ITSM tickets and operational processes, monitor network health, coordinate vendors, maintain documentation, and participate in on-call support.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of hands-on network administration experience in an enterprise or multi-site environment.
• Practical experience with Fortinet platforms and working knowledge of Ubiquiti/UniFi wireless infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, IPSec/SSL VPN, STP/RSTP, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN, MPLS, and ISP circuit management.
• Hands-on Azure and/or AWS networking experience and required Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0 Level 2, CUI handling, vulnerability assessments, and audit preparation.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE 4 or higher, Security+ CE, or ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
• Fortinet NSE 7, Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC High experience, or experience in a DoD-funded or federal grant-recipient organization.
• Network automation or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
