Senior Network Engineer (Juniper Mist)

Location: Los Angeles, CA; on-site. The role includes 10–20% travel for site deployments, work in data centers and equipment rooms, on-call rotations, and occasional after-hours maintenance. Relocation support may be provided in certain situations.

Salary: $189,000–$227,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own network architecture and standards across data centers, campuses, factories, multi-site environments, and cloud platforms.
• Lead new site bring-ups from topology design and capacity planning through production handoff.
• Design and operate routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, segmentation, SD-WAN, VPNs, and high-availability connectivity.
• Build wired and wireless campus networks using Juniper Mist and connect AWS and Azure environments through hybrid routing and cloud interconnects.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and change management with Infrastructure-as-Code, and establish monitoring, observability, documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis, manage ISP and telecom relationships, coordinate cabling vendors, and mentor infrastructure and IT teammates.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, or infrastructure with senior design and architecture ownership.
• Deep expertise in TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP at scale.
• Production experience with BGP and OSPF, including route policy, redistribution, filtering, path selection, and failover.
• Hands-on experience with VXLAN/EVPN, spine-leaf fabrics, campus LAN and enterprise wireless design, SD-WAN, VPNs, and multi-site enterprise networks.
• Cloud networking experience with AWS and/or Azure, plus proficiency with Git, Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, and CI/CD.
• Must meet U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent advanced certification.
• Advanced Juniper Mist, Palo Alto, AWS/Azure, Kubernetes networking, or multi-vendor fabric experience.
• Experience with route and overlay hardening, ISP provisioning, structured cabling, facility systems, or high-availability 24/7 production environments.
• Technical leadership or mentoring experience.
