Network Engineer (Cisco/Azure)

Salary: $96,664.36–$120,830.45 per year, depending on experience and before eligible incentives.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architecture for branches, corporate locations, data centers, and cloud environments.
• Lead engineering across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, network segmentation, and branch communications.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Cisco Firepower, Firepower Management Center, IPS, and advanced threat protection.
• Build secure, highly available network solutions aligned with Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, business continuity, and disaster recovery principles.
• Support Azure networking, site-to-site VPNs, ExpressRoute, hybrid cloud connectivity, monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.
• Develop network automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions, troubleshoot complex incidents, support audits and cybersecurity initiatives, and mentor infrastructure team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma and a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of enterprise networking experience, including 5–8 years of senior-level network engineering and Cisco Firepower administration.
• Experience supporting multi-site enterprise organizations and advanced knowledge of enterprise networking and network security architecture.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, enterprise routing, Cisco Firepower NGFW, FMC, Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless networking, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Experience with Azure networking, Python automation, REST API integration, network automation frameworks, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and network monitoring.
• Knowledge of financial services regulations and cybersecurity requirements, including NCUA, FFIEC, PCI-DSS, BSA/AML, and OFAC; strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with a credit union, bank, or other highly regulated financial institution.
• Experience supporting organizations with more than $1 billion in assets.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization and network transformation projects.
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE, CISSP, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate, or GIAC.
