Salary: $111,300–$176,720 USD per year, depending on level.

What you will do

  • Transition newly developed Laser Powder Bed Fusion production equipment from qualification into sustained high-volume manufacturing.
  • Improve equipment reliability, throughput, yield, dimensional accuracy, repeatability, utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and process-related production issues.
  • Lead structured root cause investigations and implement corrective actions that eliminate recurring failures.
  • Support equipment qualification, validation, installation, commissioning, factory and site acceptance testing, and production ramp activities.
  • Develop engineering standards, maintenance procedures, calibration documentation, configuration controls, and fleet-wide lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, reliability engineering, or advanced production environments.
  • Experience launching or ramping production equipment or processes and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and/or controls systems.
  • Experience with structured root cause analysis methods such as RCCA, 5 Whys, or Fishbone.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing teams using analytical, data-driven decision-making.

Nice to have

  • Experience with L-PBF or other metal additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or other high-volume precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AMS, PPAP, APQP, or equivalent quality systems.
  • Experience with equipment reliability, OEE improvement, preventive maintenance, machine sensor data, manufacturing analytics, PLCs, industrial automation, or machine integration.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment installation or commissioning.
