TL;DR
Manufacturing Engineer - Automation (Robotics, Machine Vision, CNC): Developing and improving manufacturing processes across machining, molding, assembly, packaging, and material handling with an accent on automation integration, Lean improvement, and digital manufacturing. Focus on implementing robotic and vision systems, troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, improving OEE through manufacturing data, and commissioning capital equipment.

Location: Delavan, Wisconsin, United States of America; onsite manufacturing role

Annual base pay: $61,200–$113,600 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods across machining, molding, assembly, packaging, and material handling.
  • Lead Lean manufacturing, kaizen, value-stream improvement, waste reduction, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action initiatives.
  • Identify and implement automation using robotics, cobots, machine vision, automated assembly, CNC automation, and flexible manufacturing systems.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Engineering, equipment suppliers, and system integrators.
  • Manage capital equipment and process improvement projects from concept through installation, validation, commissioning, and production startup.
  • Improve manufacturing data collection, OEE monitoring, connected-factory capabilities, safety, quality, capacity, and labor efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting machining, molding, assembly, or high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Experience leading process improvement, capital equipment, and manufacturing automation projects.
  • Working knowledge of robotics, machine vision, automated assembly, CNC processes, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, structured problem-solving, manufacturing documentation, OEE metrics, and production performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation systems, plus strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Fanuc, ABB, Universal Robots, Yaskawa, or similar industrial robotics.
  • Experience with injection molding, CNC machining, automated quality inspection, poka-yoke, or process-control vision systems.
  • Exposure to PLC programming, SAP or JDE, CAD, Power BI, SQL, Python, Industry 4.0, or digital manufacturing tools.
